Fitness Dash Review
Dinertown is going healthy, and it opened the Brick Gym for its citizens. Fitness Dash is part of the Flo the waitress Diner Dash series of sim Mac games. All the Dash games are fun and entertaining, and Fitness Dash is just as good. Going to the gym never has been so enjoyable with its new machines and added upgrades.
The play is to keep everyone happy by providing all the needs of the clients. The requests of the customers appear next to their faces and their hearts show you the level of their happiness. The EKG symbol signifies that this client wishes to workout on one of the cardio machines. The tutorial is so good you do not need to know how to play this game and will pick it up immediately...
Walter and Scarlet’s first pet spa Doggie Dash is a sim time management Mac game for children and casual gamers. There is a daily goal you must meet to pass a level (there are 50 levels) and 20 upgrades.
The play is to click on the pet at the entrance, above the pet’s head will show you what they want done, click on the correct station and when finished Walter will pick the pet up and take it to the counter to be paid. The 3 stations are the bath, trim and pampering. When you have enough money, you can buy upgrades for more stations to speed up your procedures and earn money faster.
There are 2 modes of play: Story and Endless Shift. The story is the tale of Walter and Scarlet trying to make a living running a pet spa and meeting daily goals...
Smashing Tennis is a brand new game that the friendly folks at Mac games.org have just developed. It is a 2-D arcade style tennis game that lets you hit the court (Grass, Clay, and Regular!) and show off your tennis skills.
This game has a few different modes to choose from. There is the practice level (which I strongly recommend to get a hang of the game), Tournament and Two Player. The practice level is where I first started and took on my first opponent, the savage looking Travis. I fell behind in the early set, but as I became more comfortable with the controls, I quickly stormed back to beat my new rival...
Solitaire is the classic card game that requires no other player but yourself. Put in some tropical island backgrounds and a few different game modes to play and you have Solitaire Epic. Mix and match, go up and down numbers, or play the regular game of solitaire in this colorful card game.
The complexity of Solitaire Epic does not go far, but the game runs smooth, the new types of solitaire are easy and fun to pick up, and for some reason I felt that beating the solitaire game was actually necessary. Solitaire Epic has card assortments to choose from before games so layouts of cards seem different each game. Other than that the rest is self-explanatory. It’s a solitaire game with its own brand of cards and its own types of playing maps.
I give Solitaire Epic a 3...
G.H.O.S.T. Chronicles: Phantom of the Renaissance Faire
You are called upon to investigate the Spears Renaissance Faire and its recent haunting by ghosts in the area, as you are a master ghost hunter. Search every part of the fair to gather information and clues as to why and where the ghosts are in this dark Renaissance faire. As a hidden object game, you must not only find objects on a list, but by using special tools to see into another realm, solve puzzles of the extraordinary.
Running around a haunted renaissance fair seems like a blast, however this game is more like stopping at a section of the fair and thinking for a while. The pop-ups from pieces in scenes are annoying and some hidden objects are kind of ridiculous...
Rise of Atlantis
Travel ancient lands of the Mediterranean in this match Mac game, Rise of Atlantis. There are 7 powers needed to come together in order to raise the magnificent lost city of Atlantis. The jewels when put together at the altar of Poseidon will bring about the Rise of Atlantis.
The Play is your usual match 3 items to destroy game with pieces of a puzzle spewed throughout the game board for you to bring to the bottom and release it to the outline on the left. The hearts on the left show how many lives you have and all earned power-ups are displayed on the lower left and by clicking on it you can drag to the game board to use as needed...
Prep school never looked so exciting especially when giant aliens are attacking the school. In Science Girls, join a team of quirky and brave high school girls as they fight the alien invasion to solve the mystery of these strange beasts. Use group tactics and the girls’ individual powers to make it through waves and waves of foes. An RPG game, decisions will affect the squad of girls, their powers, and the outcome of events. Solve the mystery of the school and help the Science Club save the day.
It’s been a while since I have played an RPG game such as Science Girls. The many choices of stats for the girls and places to explore in the school were a fresh change of pace...
Tropical Fish Shop 2
Harold and Annabelle found some incredible treasure while diving one day. They have enough money now to open a bigger fish store in Mac match 3 game Tropical Fish Shop 2. You’ll dive for new fish, compete against other divers for trophies, furnish and supply your fish shop, play hidden object games, and mini puzzles.
You must first equip and gather sea creatures for the new shop by playing a match 3 game. On the board you will see fish and sea creatures that you will need to match 3 or more of the same type to collect for your store. You will see the needed items and how much on the left side. You will also need to match bubbles to refill your air tank to continue your search for fish...
Fishdom H2O is a fast paced hidden object Mac game taking place under the sea. Jennifer a marine biologist needing some extra cash decides to dive for sunken treasure and items to sell. She is planning to build a fantastic aquarium in order to impress a bigwig so she can get a job.
The hidden object play is fantastic with colorful undersea scenes with many curious items for Jennifer to collect. Even though you are underwater, the waters are crystal clear and the objects are easy to find. If you are having difficulties seeking your items, there is always the hint button to assist you in your search. To get more hints, you need to find seahorses in the underwater scenery.
Creating the aquarium is a fun part of this hidden object play...
There are many sacred rituals and traditions on the island of Tonga, and any of these things secrets are long passed along from one family member to another. This instills the idea that sacred ancestral lines are important and must be kept alive. The Moai are known to have the knowledge of stone carving. Recently a new cult arrived at the island and threatened their stone carving knowledge.
The stone builders in order to save this knowledge from being stolen by the Cult of the Birdman, summoned the 4 elements to help you conquer the 56 stone tablets that test the knowledge to keep alive this skill for future generations to come. Failure will lose the power for the Moai and will be at war with the birdman.
There are 4 modes of play in this marble shooting game...
I love this Mac game. Fish Tycoon is like an adult Tamogotchi the children’s game developed by Bandai in the 1990s. I killed mine several times over when I was a kid. You have to take care of your aquarium or your fish will die also. The sim play is done in real time. You can leave the game for a day, and the play has progressed to a new level without you. Fish Tycoon is a very different type of play. The fish move and look real, and it will teach you what kind of fish you have in your tank, but the game is so laid back you can go about your own life and the fish will swim in your tank. There is a story to this play, but I didn’t get into it much. The goal is to breed your fish and find 7 magic fish.
Don’t spend your initial $300...
Egyptian Dreams 4
Enjoy the mysterious magic of Mac game Egyptian Dreams 4 as you win jackpots and impress Cleopatra with your prowess. This Aussie style (based on slot machines in clubs and casinos throughout Australia) poker machine (pokies) is realistic and fun to play with many side games to enhance your enjoyment.
The play is to select your bet from $2 to $200, you hit spin and wait for all your winnings. If that much play is too much for you, hit auto play and the machine will do everything for you. Of course, that means losing your money (or virtual money) faster. Also you can change the number of reels from 5 to 6 or back again for a little variety...
Professor Fizzwizzle and the Molten Mystery
Guess who’s back again? Everyone’s favorite kooky scientist, Professor Fizzwizzle! This time the Professor finds himself in trouble while on vacation on a tropical island. A former student of his has become evil and has taken control of a volcano on the island. It is Professor Fizzwizzle’s job to save the world from this mysterious circumstance.
Molten Mystery is a sequel to the original Professor Fizzwizzle, and has almost the exact same gameplay as its predecessor. It is a puzzle-platform game that puts the weak Professor back into the action, pushing crates and barrels while avoiding evil bat bots. Once you push and stack the blocks in the way that works, you can make it to the exit portal and continue on to the next level.
If you are a...
It seems like the interactive stories now have one other mini type game to play during your reading. Date Warp has a wire connecting game to make your many decisions in this play as an added bonus to their visual novel.

Rafael a boy, an unfriendly man, Alben, Nathaniel (possibly the owner of the house) and Linds who is good at fixing things are the people they find at the place...
Zak and Jack Showdown at Monster Town Review
Defend Monster Town against the evil alien invading monsters! Zak and Jack are the only ones to man the front line defense against these mad, bad marauders who are jealous of the pair’s success. The 2 are happy monster inventors living in Monster Town when they get wind of an impending malicious attack. Everyone is a monster in this shooter, action Mac game, but there are good guys and bad guys. Of course, you are on Zak and Jack’s side in fighting the wicked, heinous monsters.
Zak and Jack are on their latest shooting machine. You move them up and down while clicking to shoot at the enemies. You must aim directly and precisely to get a high percentage of accuracy score in order to beat the evil monsters and the level...
Have you ever wished you could be in the National Spelling Bee in Washington DC? Well, now you can (kinda) with Spell-Jam! This game, sponsored by Meriam Websters, is the non-genius’ way to rise to spelling glory, all from the comfort of your home computer.
There are three modes in Spell-Jam: Gameshow, Tournament and Practice. The gameshow is like “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” for spelling. You can choose from three difficulties (advanced is very difficult) and work your way up the money list. Tournament is a chance to take place in an actual spelling bee, where you can compete against multiple competitors, including other people. Practice is self-explanatory; you practice spelling.
The gameplay is basically the same in every mode...
Professor Fizzwizzle is back! And this time, his crazy robots are working for him. He has decided to use his new invention, the Fizzball, to help animals in trouble. This ball starts out small, but slowly grows in size, as more and more animals are collected. The game has more than 60 animals to save and 180 levels to maneuver through.
One of the first things the game asks is whether you want to set the game to regular or kids mode. I find this very considerate of the creators because they realize that their demographic reaches further than just the teen/adult bracket. Kids can pick up the game and play without becoming too frustrated with some of the harder levels. I thought this was a nice touch.
Additionally, the game provides more than the usual breakout game...
Bob the Builder Can Do Zoo
Channel your inner child when playing Bob the Builder Can Do Zoo. This is definitely a kid’s educational and recreational Mac game. It’s colorful with simple artwork to keep any toddler captivated and engaged in this interactive play.
There are many different plays to choose from and your child will be interested in all of them. There are working trucks with funny names like Scoop, Roley and Muck. They all work together with Bob so they can build a wonderful zoo for all the children. Most of the plays are matching color to color and the more difficult game is to put the blueprints in order. Others like finding the tool at the top of the screen and matching it with one under the stack of yellow and orange leaves will peak their curiosities...
Drawn: Dark Flight
Did you like those kiddy pop-up books when you were growing up? They were great with moving parts and colorful layouts. Drawn: Dark Flight brings the pop-up books to life and cleverly uses them to help you solve puzzles. As a sequel to Painted Tower, you begin where the first game left off.
The dramatic beginning will give you a glimpse of what is to come in this puzzle solving game. Iris, the young queen to be, hides herself in a book in order to avoid capture from the evil king who wants to use her artistic talents for wicked purposes. Iris can make a drawing come to life. Imagine the possibilities of someone who can do that. However, before the king could get to her in her tower, the tower collapses burying you underneath the concrete rubble...
